My approach as a psychotherapist is deeply rooted in my background as a formerly licensed Anusara-inspired yoga teacher, and currently certified massage practitioner. It is further sparked by my love of creative writing and literature. It is more so influenced by my experiences as a psychotherapist in community-based settings.
I am interested in helping you reach a place of not just self-acceptance, but compassion for yourself, as a whole person-- from a grounded, realistic perspective. My intention is to meet you where you are, not where you think you should be.
We will collaborate to help you get to know yourself more fully, and learn to infuse meaning and mindfulness into the most mundane activities. We will work together to support you in developing the skills and emotional stamina needed to transform negative experiences, thoughts, and patterns into wisdom, humor, and depth. The biggest gift therapy has to offer is the knowledge that you are already right, true, and wholly acceptable.
